We recognise that keeping children safe online is of vital importance to parents and carers, just as it is to us as a school. Digital technologies are an integral part of everyday life, particularly for children, both in and beyond the school environment. Every child has the right to be safe whenever they access the internet.
At St Charles Catholic Primary School, we take a proactive approach to online safety by embedding it throughout our curriculum and children’s learning. We are also committed to supporting parents and carers to develop their own understanding of online safety, enabling them to help their children use the internet and digital media safely, responsibly, and confidently.
To support this, we will include a link in our weekly newsletter to a #WakeUpWednesday guide. These guides provide clear, practical information about specific aspects of digital technology, highlighting potential risks and offering advice on how to keep children safe when using them. Our weekly newsletter will also include a link to the online safety page on our website, which contains further valuable guidance and resources.
You can access the same #WakeUpWednesday guides below.
