What do we do?

The Student Chaplaincy meet each week to discuss areas for improving the way our Catholic faith is taught and lived out within the School. Aspects have included compiling a student questionnaire (which is issued each year), ideas for using the outside prayer area more, planning and taking the lead for whole School liturgies and how to support Year 3 candidates as they prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation and the receiving the Eucharist.

Each chaplain has been assigned to a class which they can support in a variety of ways including helping children with planning and modelling their classroom collective worship, ideas for displays and the  prayer focus table, sharing their workbooks and helping children to see what they need to do to achieve their next level (stepping stone).

They also meet with Fr Peter Wilson from St Pius X Parish every half term to update him with what is happening in the school.
